I know when going to college for the first time…or any time, there is a moment when you think ‘Oh my God…I have nothing to wear there’ or “I have nothing to pack!” especially for those of you who don’t have elder sisters to ask advice from based on their experiences.
So I have created a list of some things to pack, those in capital letters are necessities and the rest are things you can add or remove from what to pack for college.
PLEASE NOTE THAT NOT EVERYTHING LISTED BELOW HAS TO BE PACKED AND TAKEN FROM HOME. YOU CAN BUY SOMETHINGS WHEN YOU GET THERE. A LARGE PART OF WHAT YOU PACK DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU DECIDE TO GO TO COLLEGE. PLEASE CONSIDER THE WEATHER CONDITIONS OF YOUR COLLEGE AREA BEFORE YOU DECIDE WHAT CLOTHES YOU’LL WEAR.
- PASSPORTS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS; Do not forget your passport, you never know when you may need it, and you’ll probably need it if you are flying to college. If there any college documents or health certificates you were told to bring or you think you would need, please don’t forget to pack it.
- TAMPONS/PADS; Every girl should know why this is a must pack. It is an essential which is necessary to avoid any accidents.
- A FEW SHIRTS; Shirts are going to be really useful in college, for lazy days, classes , lounging, it can be used in all kinds of situations which is really helpful especially when its the kind of day you can’t think of anything to wear. You just grab a shirt and any pair of jeans and that’s it. Grab a pair of shoes and you are ready to go out
- LEGGINGS; Leggings is another essential. It is comfortable and stylish. You can wear it with tops or under your skirt. I would always have this on my list.
- JEANS; another must have as it is comfortable and stylish as well and can be worn at different occasions…and you can also add SKIRTS to your list for the same reasons.
- TOILETRIES; Bring your toiletries like tissue, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, hair cream/oil, etc. Although these are examples of things you can buy there.
- SHOWER CADDIE that carries everything.
- BATHROOM SLIPPERS
- SHOES,HANDBAGS, BACKPACKS
- DON’T FORGET YOUR UNDERWEAR
- A WATER BOTTLE
- A POWER OUTLET
- AN ALARM for those early mornings.
- A sweat shirt
- A desk organizer
- Hook over the door hook, it can really be handy sometimes
- A set of hangers to hang your clothes
- Bedsheets and pillow cases
- YOUR BOOKS; check what books you will be using and which stores sell them. You could get them at amazon or check with your school what bookshops they have. A cheap alternative is to borrow a book from someone who has them but doesn’t use them anymore.
- Dorm room decorations like tapestries, rugs, a plant, etc.
Thanks for reading guys. Please stay tuned(or whatever it is when you read) for more like this…Bye
